Dr. Howard Wang was born in Taipei, Taiwan, The Republic of China. He emigrated to the USA when he was five. Early on, Dr. Wang had an interest in the health professions but was also keenly interested in art. He went to college at Cornell University and medical school at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He then went on to do a general surgery residency at the University of Rochester and a plastic surgery residency at Duke University. Dr. Wang's interest lies both in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He particularly specializes in blepharoplasty, brow lift, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, body contouring, abdominoplasty, thigh lift, liposuction as well as fillers and Botox®.

Dr. Luis Alejandro Jaramillo was born in Colombia. He emigrated to the United States for his General Surgery Residency at the UTHSCSA. After graduating from surgery residency, he went to the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee for plastic surgery residency. Dr. Jaramillo's areas of interest include facial and breast surgery as well as surgery after weight loss. He particularly specializes in facial plastic surgery, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, brow lift, breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, body contouring, abdominoplasty, thigh lift, liposuction. Non-surgical techniques are part of Dr. Jaramillo's practice, including Botox®, fillers and Erbium laser as well.
John M. Morehead, MD

Hailing from West Texas, Dr. John Morehead graduated from Texas Tech University and earned his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He accomplished his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center here in San Antonio and his fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery here at UTHSCSA. After retiring from the US Air Force at the rank of Lt. Col., Dr. Morehead went into the private practice of cosmetic/aesthetic surgery in Dallas, where he worked for eleven years before joining the UTHSCSA faculty. He is board certified in both Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and his interests lie in aesthetic blepharoplasty, facial rejuvenation, and aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty, as well as dermal fillers and Botox®.
Lori Pounds, MD

Dr. Pounds attended the University of Pittsburgh for undergraduate school, and Temple University school of Medicine. She did her general surgical residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and then went back to Temple for a Vascular Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Pounds returned to UTMB in Galveston as an assistant professor for 6 years. She relocated to San Antonio in 2007 and had a successful private practice, leaving for the opportunity to teach and work with the veterans in a dual appointment in the UT Health Science Center San Antonio Department of Surgery Division of Vascular/Endovascular Surgery.
Maureen K. Sheehan, MD

Dr. Sheehan graduated from medical school in 1998, and completed her general surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center in 2003. She then completed a 2 year fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at University of Pittsburgh in 2005. Since becoming a faculty member at UTHSCSA, she has completed her Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation. She currently serves on several national committees in vascular surgery, including the Diversity in Vascular Surgery committee, whose goal it is to increase diversification of physicians in the field as well as increase cultural awareness. Her current clinical and research interests include endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial disease, critical limb ischemia, carotid disease, and venous disease. In the Aesthetic Surgical Group, Dr. Sheehan provides a comprehensive list of services for diagnosis and treatment of vein problems including but not limited to venous insufficiency, varicose veins, and spider veins. Treatment options include laser therapy, sclerotherapy and phlebectomies. Clinical appointments with Dr. Sheehan are available at the MARC, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Medical Center, and University Hospital.
Christian L. Stallworth, MD

A native of Houston, Texas, Dr. Stallworth received his undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio. He earned his medical degree and completed five years of residency training in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During his training, Dr. Stallworth was the recipient of the Leslie Bernstein Resident Research Award from the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). Dr. Stallworth was then honored to receive a Fellowship position in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU). While in Portland, he trained exclusively in all aspects of Facial Plastic Surgery under the guidance of world-renown surgeons, Drs. Tom Wang and Ted Cook. Dr. Stallworth is interested in all aspects of facial plastic surgery including nasal surgery (rhinoplasty), facial rejuvenation (face, neck and forehead lifting), eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), the treatment of scars, and facial reconstructive techniques aimed at aiding those patients that have suffered from cancer or trauma. He has particular interests in repair of congenital anomalies to include clefts of the lip and palate, microtia (ear malformations) and pediatric skin lesions. His academic interests include cartilage remodeling and the science of soft tissue wounding and healing.

Dr. Lee Carlisle is a proud graduate of the University of Texas School of Medicine San Antonio. She completed her residency training at the University of Tennessee-Memphis. She worked in private practice for six years, focusing exclusively on outpatient anesthesia, and joined the UTHSCSA faculty in 2005. Currently she is the head of UT Medicine San Antonio Anesthesia — an exclusively outpatient anesthesia team that covers the MARC and the CTRC Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

Lisa Sanchez, RN, is originally from Greenwood, Indiana. She moved to San Antonio in 1985, and earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from San Antonio College. She has 12 years of nursing experience at University Health System, before she joined our Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery group at the MARC.
